checkup

I don't like the doctors, they're always poking and prodding and stabbing you with needles. I didn't mind when they weighed me, but once they slid that measuring tape on my head, I did my best to put a stop to it all. It didn't work, but I tried. Anyway, Mommy thought you might like to know that I'm not up to 28lbs and 34 inches, so there you go.

I'm on the case

Something very strange is going on here and nobody seems to have noticed but me. Aunt Stephanie went missing. One minute she was there and the next she was gone ... just like that. I even led Grammom into the living room and pointed to the empty wall where Aunt Stephanie used to be, but she didn't seem concerned. Then there is the issue with the drawers in the kitchen. I like to pull them open, empty their contents and reorganize the items to new locations throughout the house. What do you think I found the last time I opened them up? Nothing, zilch, nada! What is going on here? Where's my stuff? Someone came and wrapped plastic around the cabinets and now I can't even open the drawers on them. Not that it would matter, I'm sure there is nothing in them anymore anyway. Something very curious is happening here. I don't know what it is, but I'll tell you one thing. I'm keeping a close eye on my monkey. The way things are disappearing around here, I don't want him to be next.

Sour milk

Today I played a game called lost and found. I took my milk cup and hid it in Grammom's dresser drawer, then I sat back and watched as everyone spent the day looking for it. Mommy finally found it after dinner, but by then I had forgotten all about the game and truth be told, I couldn't even remember where I put it.

Ribbit

A frog jumped on my head while I was swinging. Thankfully my big cousin Josh was here to swat him away.

Rain, rain, go away ...

Mommy and I took a walk in the rain today and she taught me how to play in puddles. It's great fun! I laughed and laughed as we stomped and splashed in each new puddle.

"There's" my nose

I found my nose, my ears, my chin, my belly button and my toes! They weren't lost exactly, but until recently, I didn't really know what they were called or where they were. Now, whenever Mommy asks, I can point and show her and mumble something somewhat resembling a "there".

There are benefits to sitting in the back by myself

Grocery shopping always makes me so hungry. Mommy must of realized that. Why else would she have left a shopping bag on the backseat on the way home from the Vegetable Stand? I had to stretch, but it was definitely in reach. After checking out my options, I ended up choosing a nice big nectarine to snack on. Oh, yum! I took quite a few bites from all around it before Grammom even noticed. She let me eat more, but insisted on holding it for me. I kind of lost my taste for the nectarine at that point, it tasted better when I was holding it all by myself.

Happy Feet

I've been working on some new dance moves, finally getting my feet into the action instead of just bouncing up and down. My latest move looks kind of like I'm running in place really fast, but with a little bit of rhythm. Not too much rhythm though. I am limited by the non musical genes that run in the family.
