Today

Today I said "Mommy Kelly", maybe saw an alligator and got up close and personal with two squirrels.

Cooling off in the Florida heat

My new monkey pool, complete with banana slide.
How do you turn this thing off?
This slide is higher than it looks, don't you think?
This is more like it

Blah, blah, blah

How come nobody understands me when I talk to them? Mommy understands my pointing and gestures, but when I try to tell her something, she just gives me a puzzled look. I thought maybe she couldn't hear me so I tried yelling instead, but all I get in response is her puzzled annoyed look. I'm not sure this talking thing is worth the effort. I can point to the fridge for my milk and pull on Mommy's pant leg for her attention, what more could I need?

Cream Puffs!

I bet Aunt Stephanie wishes she was here. My Grammom made me cream puffs for dessert!

Swapping Seats

I turned in my highchair for a booster seat and am sitting at the table just like the big people. Mommy mentioned something about table manners, but if that means I can't throw my silverware or food anymore, I think I want my highchair back.

An afternoon outing

Mommy and I went for a hike at Turkey Creek Sanctuary today. Well okay, it wasn't really a hike, more like a walk, but in Florida there is no such thing as a 'hike' so we just pretended. And there were no turkeys at turkey creek which was a bit of a disappointment. I miss the turkeys from our old backyard and was hoping to see some. A sign said there were gopher tortoises and racoons and skunks and anoles, but with the exception of the small lizards, I didn't see much more than trees and bugs. But there were sticks and mulch that I could pick up and throw over the railings so it was still a lot of fun.
