Crime & Punishment

What Mommy doesn't understand is that I like my Time Out Chair. I know that if I throw the basket of onions on the floor and don't clean them up, she's going to send me to time out. So I do it over and over and over again. I like my chair. It's a monkey chair. Sometimes I don't even wait for Mommy to send me there. I throw the onions on the floor, kick them around a bit and run to sit in my chair in the corner all the while smiling. Its the smile that frustrates Mommy most so I'm careful to never forget to add that in at the end.

Bye Bye Cocoa

Did you know "Cocoa" was one of the first words I could say? I know you liked to steal my bath toys and chew them up, but that never bothered me much, just Mommy. I'll always remember how you let me pile stuff on your back and pull your tail and ears and you never once got mad. And how Pop Pop let me help feed you your treats and how you use to eat all the bites of my dinner that I'd toss on the floor for you. You were one of my best pals, I'll miss you Cocoa.

I'm 22 months old today

My new favorite toys are my Sesame Street Knex. I've got a bunch of them now. I love to build towers and mix up all the pieces of the heads and put them back together again my own way. Like with Bert's face on Elmo's head with a little bit of Cookie Monster mixed in just for fun. You can build all sorts of fun stuff. Today, Grammom made me a bee and whenever I see it, I like to say "bzzzzz". Mommy also made me a flower the other day and I like to stick my nose real close and go "sniff, sniff". But I can't say "sniff, sniff" so I just curl up my nose and smell it just like a real flower.

Adjustments

I've been spending a lot of time with my Grammom lately while Mommy is off at school. I miss Mommy, but she's always home when I wake up the next morning so its not so bad. Besides, she doesn't need to go back to school until Monday now so I have her for the next 4 days!

I've adjusted to my new home finally and am going to bed without a peep these days. Mommy and Grammom deserve the break so I figured its the least I could do.

Catching up

I haven't been around lately, but to fill you in ....

I moved to my new house in Virginia and I suppose its alright. It would be a whole lot better if I didn't get this darn cold and cough just after arriving. Oh, and the worst part is that I have my own room now. I miss sharing with my Mommy and I make sure she knows it by screaming my complaints at the top of my lungs for as long as I can when she tries to put me to bed. I suppose I'll get used to it eventually, but for now I think I'll continue to give her a hard time. I've got a big yard now, which is nice, but I've been too sick to take advantage of it and the mild weather.

I miss Pop Pop and my Poppy and my Grammy a whole lot too. No one mentioned that I was going to have to leave them behind. Pop Pop will be here soon enough though so at least I've got that to look forward to. And Mommy says we'll be visiting with my big cousins Natalie and Samantha in a couple of weeks, which should be lots of fun! They're real close now so I guess this new home thing has its advantages.

I better be off to bed and exercise my lungs a bit. Goodnight!
